A former GOP Texas state Senate candidate claims she was “gagged, bound and tortured” in a hotel and three people have been arrested for the heinous crime.
Vanessa Tijerina, a GOP candidate who lost in the November election, said she got a call to meet and discuss “something very important regarding her safety” at a Texas Inn in Raymondville.
“They made it seem like they had something really, really important to tell me and they couldn’t tell me on the phone,” Tijerina said.
Instead she was ambushed. “I was beaten. I was terrorized, bound, gagged, tortured,” Tijerina said on a Facebook video.
She said the group “stomped” on her so hard they left boot marks on her face.
“I knew if I fought back that I would not live,” Tijerina said.
“They stole my car. They stole my money. They stole everything from me,” Tijerina said.

Three people have been charged in connection to a brutal beating of a former Republican State Senate candidate on Christmas Eve.
Vanessa Tijerina told KVEO she was lured to a Texas Inn, on Frontage road, by a woman in a “black bra.”
The woman, identified as Amanda Salinas by Tijerina, said she needed to tell the former candidate “something very important regarding her safety.”
Three people then proceeded to beat her, according to Tijerina.
Police said Amanda Salinas, Ariel Vera and Raymond Santana were arrested.
Tijerina said there is a person that was giving orders over the phone and that person has yet to be arrested, however that information has not been confirmed by police.
