Lindsey Graham went on the Sunday talk shows and did not hold anything back. Appearing on NBC’s “Meet The Press” Graham demanded a new special counsel to be named to investigate the Department of Justice for anti-President Donald Trump bias, allegedly within the FBI.
He cited political statements by FBI agent Peter Strzok and the DOJ’s associate deputy attorney general, Bruce Ohr for the reason we need a new investigation.
According to Newsmax Lindsey said,
“I will do everything I can to make sure that Mr. Mueller does his job,” Graham said before adding, “But there’s other things about the Department of Justice and this investigation that bother me greatly, and I think we need a special counsel to look at those things… I believe that Mr. Strzok was a political hack.”
Boom. But Graham was just getting warmed up:
“I believe that Ohr had a conflict of interest. … I believe there’s plenty of evidence that the Russians interacted with the Trump campaign and Mr. Mueller will get to the bottom of it. The FBI is a great organization, but no organization… can’t be looked at.”
Graham then spoke about the primary campaign, where he lost to Trump and showed the maturity we want Hillary and the sore loser Democrats to start acting with.
“He beat me like a dog,” he said of Trump, “I used every adjective on the planet. I lost, he won. I feel an obligation to help him where I can. I’ve enjoyed working with him. I don’t think he’s crazy, I think he’s had a very successful 2017. And I want to help him where I can and we should all want him to be successful. He’s got a lot on his plate.”
Correct – the biggest political scandal of our time will be how, for the first time in US history, we did not rally around and support a and if not support at least give a new President the benefit of doubt.
Before Trump, we tried to come together after an election, after Trump, or at least with Trump we do not and this is a sad turn of events indeed.
