President Trump faced an avalanche of criticism for his historic meeting with Russian president Vlad Putin.

Even Fox News was shocked that he actually was working to fulfill one of his campaign promises – to try to have better relations with Russia.

Yes, they attacked us but we are not going to war so should we not seek common ground where we can?

It is a question our leaders need to answer but without the hysterics of the last few days.

But after Trump’s tweet today, expect more of the same from the opposition.

“Russia has agreed to help with North Korea, where relationships with us are very good and the process is moving along. There is no rush, the sanctions remain! Big benefits and exciting future for North Korea at end of process!”

“So many people at the higher ends of intelligence loved my press conference performance in Helsinki. Putin and I discussed many important subjects at our earlier meeting. We got along well which truly bothered many haters who wanted to see a boxing match. Big results will come!”

“While the NATO meeting in Brussels was an acknowledged triumph, with billions of dollars more being put up by member countries at a faster pace, the meeting with Russia may prove to be, in the long run, an even greater success. Many positive things will come out of that meeting…”

Putin hinted to the Russian media that he came to some agreements, not specific deals, on how to move forward on Syria and Israel issues and noted they may have made ground on Ukraine as well.

Newsweek is reporting:

The Russian military has announced that it is “ready” to implement “international security” agreements reached by U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in a Helsinki summit on Monday.

“The Russian Defense Ministry is ready for practical implementation of the agreements in the sphere of international security,” ministry spokesperson Igor Konashenkov said Tuesday, according to Russian news agency Tass. He added that Russia is “ready to enliven contact with the U.S. colleagues, between our General Staffs and via other communication channels.”

Konashenkov specifically referenced the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START), cooperation in Syria and “other issues” regarding military security.

In other words, expect a major announcement in the coming days and expect an even bigger uproar on the left.

Peace is a good thing, remember that, and also remember the establishment track record is not perfect either.

Look, the whole strategy for the left is to have Trump fail – if he succeeds they are doomed politically so they will raise their voices after Trump makes the announcement but their bravado is only masking their terror.
